It was an unusual but pleasant task to aid the BBC at White City, Wood Lane, London recently. Letterworks was asked to recommend typography and then print stationery for a drama reconstruction based on the life of Seebohm Rowntree (of the confectionery family). Mr Rowntree was a Quaker and social reformer and this drama (which is yet to be titled) is based on his life and work around 1910.

After some research, we suggested Copperplate Gothic 31 B-C. which the BBC agreed was suitable for that period and we then printed the stationery that went on to be filmed.

Our contact at the BBC was very pleased and wrote: “Many thanks for the letterheads, they went down very well on camera!”
